Rod Mapstone
Rod has worked in social services and community development for the past 15 years in a variety settings and environments. These have included roles in project and operations management in the public and not-for-profit sectors.
Much of his career has focused on managing agencies that provide support for people experiencing marginalisation and disadvantage due to homelessness, poverty, mental illness, addictions, abuse and family breakdown. These yards have given Rod real insight into the human condition – he gets people; head, heart and soul.
Rod also works in organisational development. The common denominator is people and no matter what your walk of life or your life circumstances, Rod recognises the common themes that challenge us all.
As a dual Olympian he understands the challenges associated with creating and maintaining motivation and drive and delivering high performance outcomes in the workplace without sacrificing health and well-being.
His special interest is in the field of wellness. He is current working with individuals and groups within organisations and communities to help them achieve their goals of balance and wholeness. What’s effective for the individual is effective for the organisation and community – it’s all connected and he’s brilliant at helping us all make those connections.
